Drop D Chords (D A D G B E)

Drop D is the cheapest tuning change there is. Lower the low E a whole step and everything else stays put. Power chords become one finger, the bottom gets heavier, and D finally has a bass note under it. Metal lives here, but so does Neil Young.

From standard, drop the low E a whole step to D.
